Chunky wool is ideal for creating many different types of projects. It is especially suitable for knitting, crocheting, machine knitting, and felting whilst being environmentally friendly.

Reasons to use 100% Wool Yarn

There are many reasons to use wool rather than non-natural materials like acrylic, nylon and polyester.

- Wool is Sustainable

Wool is grown naturally on sheep. Their fleece re-grows every year continuously. This contrasts with synthetic fibres which require non eco-friendly ways to create them.

- Wool is Recyclable

Wool, a natural fibre, degrades in a fraction of the time without causing an environmental issue. Compared to synthetic fibres, which can take up to 40 years to degrade.

Wool also decomposes in soil in a matter of months or years,releasing valuable nutrients back to the earth.

- Wool Lasts Longer

Wool is more durable than synthetic fibres, resisting tearing and spills. The natural elasticity of wool helps with constant wear and tear. Meaning you get more wear from your garment or product.

Care Instructions

This is 100% wool so doesn't need as much washing as it's naturally stain and odour resistant. Your garment can be easily refreshed by hanging it outside on a breezy day. Being anti-static, it also collects less dust.

It is best to hand wash your wool garment. Turn it inside out, if applicable, and then wash in clean lukewarm water using a mild detergent. Leave to soak for around 10 minutes and then rinse in luke warm water, followed by cold water. Then lay flat to dry, do not hang to dry.

Don't scrub the fabric as this will damage the fibres.

For this particular wool, HAND WASH, do NOT BLEACH, do NOT IRON and do NOT TUMBLE DRY.
